Thought of a 5-7-5 for the response Liz had started. Better late than never!

coffee, hot and strong -
the first taste of the morning
wipes away fatigue.

Cool. I highly recommend this book, The Haiku Handbook:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/4770014309/qid=1122972136/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-0799185-2451068

parts of which I used in the workshop. It's got some of the best translations of old haiku together with some extraordinary new stuff.

If you ever feel like participating in a renga, please feel free to leave a verse in my inbox.

- Liz

No sites or groups - but I'll push one out every few weeks or so from the existing lot and new ones as they pop into existence.

coffee -
the first taste
of the morning

I love it. I tried to write you a 5-7-5 in response but gave up; been doing the freeform haiku too long now, I think. But thank you for inspiring me. :)

Is there a site or group with which you share your 'ku?

- Liz
